I am starting CALP again. I lost 20 lbs. (a miracle for me) but was in a car accident and then had surgery, so gained back the weight plus much more. I am so afraid I won't lose this time.
My question is about snacking..I am hypoglycemic so can't go very long without eating. Is beef jerky, pork rinds, nuts or anything else allowed inbetween meals? I don't eat a lot of carbs during the RM so my carb intake should be ok.
Thanks for listening, Kandi

You can only eat a maximum of four times a day with CAD/CALP. 2 CMs, 1 CS and an RM. More than that causes an insulin reaction.

I have the same problem but have learnt (thanks to the help of others on this forum) to eat max protein at each CM or snack. This helps to prevent a blood sugar drop and to take a GTF to help stabilise and heal the cell receptors. Also have your snack on days when you feel a bit hungry.
It take s a while for it all to settle down but it does. Don't let yourself get hungry and if you are, eat more at your meals.

Thank you yogibear...I will give this a try. I know I don't eat enough at lunch and get very hungry at about 3:00p.m. I will try to eat more tomorrow. I bought the GTF and started taking it last night...
Thank you again :) Kandi
