Does anyone know where I can buy weigh scales that weigh up to 200 kg ?

I live in Melbourne and would love to go to a shop, but if I have to send away for it - so be it!

Maybe weight clubs such as Weight Watchers may have access to such information. I read on this site of people using 2 sets of scales to weigh themselves. May save spending a fortune until your weigh comes down to a one scale size.
Good luck.

I had a lot of trouble finding an affordable set of scales, even where I currently live in the USA (Relocating back to Sydney in December). Then I finally found these new Tanita sclaes that support up to 440lbs, it has a switch to go between Kgs and Lbs, and has 5 positions to store the last weight recorded.

Have included a link to where I bought it from, I know some of these places will ship to Aus. Hope this helps,

Well, was looking around the Australia/NZ forum(as I'm moving back to Aus in December) , and spotted it. I started the Atkins plan about 5 weeks ago, so went looking for scales again (prior to this time all they had were shipping scales, in the very large $$$ range). I have had them about 4 weeks now and they work great and are easy to use.

Hope it helped,
Cheers,
Peter.

Just a suggestion Dave, and not a comment on your weight....do you live anywhere near a seed/grain merchant, equestrian (horses) or a farm supplies store..?? Most of them have scales which would weigh amounts much heavier than 200kgs. Don't be embarrassed..go along and hop on. You could explain that you are working hard at weight loss, and thus enlist their non-critical support..!! Eve

Hey thanks everyone.

One thing though eevee I'd never go to those places to weigh myself. You know when you reach a limit of compensating because of your weight.

Thats where I draw the line.

Thank you for the advice though :)

That's OK Dave...I only mentioned it because where my husband worked they had such a set of scales, and everyone used to use them...schoolboy footballers when as many as possible jumped on them to qualify for a weight limit for their team, to people having difficulty, like yourself. The staff were most encouraging. I guess being in a small, friendly, country town helps...everyone knows you anyway. Best wishes .........Eve
