Does anyone use these supplements? How much do you take? Do you think it has helped and/or had any positive benefits?
How about essential oils does anyone use those?

Of the supplements you asked about I only take L-carnitine. I think it's been helpful in boosting my metabolism, but it has other good qualities as well. L-carnitine is an amino acid that helps rebuild and repair muscle and helps to convert fat into fuel for the body. 1500mg daily is the recommmended dosage (and what I use). Take it 3x's daily in 500mg per time before meals. 500mg before breakfast, another 500mg before lunch, and 500mg before supper. L-glutamine is another amino acid that helps to curb sugar cravings. A lot of people swear by it, but I personally haven't needed it. The recommended dosage is 500mg prior to meals as well. Chromium polynicotinate helps build muscle, decrease fat, & lower cholesterol. The multi-vitamin I use (Basic #3) contains 300mcg, which is enough for most people. The highest recommended dosage would be about 900mcg daily. This should be taken with a meal. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
God Bless,

Yes, I take 400 mcg of chromium once a day, and 500 mg of L-Glut twice a day, essential oils at 1000 mg three times a day, Co-Q 10 100 mg once a day, plus a sub-lingual B-12, a daily multi, and 3000 mg of C every day.
I have managed to lose 44 lbs in less than 6 months, while increasing my lean muscle mass, and increasing my physical fitness level quite significantly. Very important for old, fat guys.
Blood pressure has decreased from 158/105 to 128/75 during that time period.
I think that the supplements are one important element making my success on low carb possible, but not as important as a consistent exercise program, nor, of course, a daily low carb diet, with very little variation in grams of carb ingested.
YMMV
