I see alot of you suggest using L-Glute for your sweets cravings. I also know from my W8 lifting that L-Glute is an awsome supplement.
My one question is, L-Glute upsets my gut to an extent.
I dont like powdered anything so, do they sell L-Glute in a pill or caplet form?? I hope so, it would be much more convenient, especially since if we go to war, I will be working 7-12's at the ol' job.
Thanks all.

Hi there,
L-Glutamine comes in 500mg tablets, which is sufficient for quelling sweet cravings, but insufficient for preventing DOMS. You'd be taking lots of tablets - it would also be a more expensive way to take the supp.
In what way does glutamine upset your gut?
All the best.

Rosebud is right .. for use as part of your exercise regimen, glutamine is required in larger doses 2 - 5g .. which would mean up to 10 pills each time.
Glutamine is very soothing and healing to the gut and intestines and is recommended by the Eades in Protein Power Lifeplan for healing leaky gut syndrome and irritable bowel. Plain l-glutamine powder is completely tasteless and dissolves quickly in water .. perhaps the formula you have has something else in it??
I've also read (can't remember the source, sorry) that l-glutamine powder should be stored air-tight, and make every effort to keep moisture out of the container .. because moisture will cause the glutamine to degrade into useless amine peptides. So it might be possible that the glutamine powder you have is not fresh, and the degraded amines in the product are causing the stomach upset??
just a thought

I need to find it but went to our local health food store and he told me it wasn't available in Canada? I find this hard to swallow, coming from a man who's pushing "Slimming Patches" LOL
Any Canucks out there, especially Saskies, who have found it....where'd you get it...please and thanks!

Hi Wolfie, L-Glut is widely available in Canada. You can buy it in places like HY and Zels, a discount place in Toronto. I comes in a powder that dissolves very easily in water or a shake. Try your yellow pages and call all the health food stores. Someone must have it.
Maybe you can get it delivered if you order from a pharmaccy on line. Good luck, HL
