Is it Ok - maybe - maybe you need to kick the taste for sweet things. I ate it on induction and I was OK. It's certainly bettetr than the real thing if you must have something sweet.
Good luck with induction,
Robert

I believe it is AOK. I ate S/F Jello on Induction (both times) with no problems. It really helps satisfy a sweet tooth.
Good luck!

??? Is this legal on induction?? How many carbs does it have?
I am a huge fan of Jello, but I can't seem to make it rightat home. Mine is always runny. There's a Chinese buffet here in town that makes really EXCELLENT jello. It's a shame -- I go there and pay $20 for dinner, and fill up on the jello!

we have to get you in the kitchen more- the sf jello has zero carbs so yep its good for induction, just be wary as Fletcher says, you are trying to kick the sugar craving so start by having it only every other time you want it ;) -i had a few days on induction when i ate the whole 4 servings in one sitting...ummm...
its also VERY easy to do good jello- just make sure the jello disolves all the way- you may have to put the whole bowl (of jello and hot water) in the microwve if you start w/ a cold glass bowl- instead of measuring the cold water measure it in whole ice cubes- it makes it jell alot faster and the ice will measure out about only 2/3 of what the water does so it comes out nice and thick- by the time the ice is dissolved your jello is almost set- can you believe i spent this much tome on making jello directions :D we can be funny- us low carbers!

Thank you, Lattegirl, I tried your suggestions, and my jello came out a bit firmer.
Still, if I try again next week, I might try dropping a tablet of Viagra into the mix.
I suspect I have gelatin dysfunction! ;)

I am in induction right now, and while I know sugar-free products aren't really "kosher" so to speak, I find that I really feel super deprived without a bit of a sweet taste.
The sweet taste doesn't lead to me binging, either, or craving the real thing - in fact it sort of stops the cravings for me - so I figure, well, I'm losing weight, I'm eating about a million times better now than when I drank half a dozen Cokes each day and munched on Pop-tarts, twinkies, and Candy Bars. (I'm not exagerrating, for many many years, I have only infrequently eaten "real" foods - most days were just one sugary thing after another, a real carb-addict.) So I might not be "perfect" but I am making progress, so I won't be too hard on myself!
For me, this little bit of a "cheat" doesn't seem to harm how I feel or harm my weight loss, and it helps keep me on the diet (instead of feeling so deprived that I blow the diet completely).
So I will probably be one of the minority of people who will say, if you are like me and feel just too deprived without anything that tastes a bit sweet, it's better to do the low-carb jello than to say, "Oh, the heck with this diet, I want a dozen candy bars!"
On the other hand, if people can do the diet without the need for the low-carb jello and artificially sweetened diet sodas, more power to them!
Best of luck, Induction Friend, I am sure both you and I will do great!
I lost another lbs. this morning when I weighed in - 11 lbs. gone in 11 days! And 3 more days of induction left. After induction is finished, I will add a few more low-glycemic veggies to my diet! (I am looking forward to that!)
Love, Leora

Hi Joyfulc,
I always found the same problem (with runny jello) compared to what I've had at restaurants. I've learned to use just a little bit less water and I'm happy with the results. I'll use about 1 tablespoon less than the 1 cup of hot water and 1 tbspn less than the 1 cup of cold water. (Takes a bit longer to set than the ice cube method, but I've never had success with that method :p
Best of luck!

Hi
I ate jello with whipped cream during Induction. I buy SF JELLO in the little cups. No sugar, no calories...a great little snack that tastes sweet. I had no problem with it at all. At first I think you need something. After a few jellos I found that I really didn't need them and had them less often. But, last night I had one and it tasted pretty good. I will always keep a couple on hand when I need them...realistically, I don't have a big sweet tooth but everyone needs it once in a while IMHO.

 Maybe my problem has been one of impatience all along. I made some orange jello yesterday and forgot all about it. When I tried it today, it was perfect -- just like the Chinese buffet!!!
(Whipped cream??? )
