So, I have read the thermogenic threads and now my head is :spin:

My plan is to start w/ Xenadrine, one pill in the morning, increasing to full dose between waking & 3 pm over 4 weeks. I plan to take this the rest of my challenge (8 weeks), then take 2 weeks off.

Then, from what I have read, and because my thyroid levels always test just the "normal" side of low, I am thinking of switching to a thyroid enhancer such as Thyroslim (this seems to have both an AM and PM to take and I wonder if this would be good for sleep regulation) or Thyrolean or Guggubolic (I can't help it, the name alone makes me giggle). Not sure what the difference is between all of these

Anyway, sound ok? Is there a better way/product to start?

Thanks for your help!

Honestly, Babs, I think you'd get more benefit getting your eating down and getting yourself in the gym on a more regular basis. A thermogenic is a supplement - designed to supplement something that worked well but isn't working as well now that your body has adapted.

If you buckled down, nixed the wine and bread got your protein up and got to the gym 6 days a week I think you'd notice more of an improvement than if you popped a few pills. You'd also save yourself a few $$ ;)

As for the differences in each of those products listed; try a search for each name - Trainerdan has discussed them all at length over the years on this forum.

Cheers,
Nat

I do go to the gym 6 days a week. I missed one day President's weekend, due to being out of town, and one day yesterday, due to the flu, and which I am counting as my "free" day for the week (should have been Friday).

I hear you on the nutrition front, though ;)

Sorry, Babs, I thought I read something about not making it to the gym on a regular basis in your journal recently (then again my brain is still sitting on the beach ;) ) I know I read something about being part French and bread /wine / cheese were in your genes! (Please tell me I'm not imagining this)
