Hi there

I have had some varicose veins in my testicles for as long as
I can remember, did some searching on the web initially, found
at they were pretty much harmless unless you were trying to
father children, in which case you might want surgery to get
them removed.

Recently I read in a magazine that they can also lower
testosterone levels, so I did a large amount of searching on
the web, and found only one web page out of about 20
mentioning lowered testosterone as a possible side effect. The
rest simply said they interferred with sperm production and
hence can make men infertile.

Anyone know anything about this? I am not looking to father
children anytime soon, so that ain't a problem just yet, but I
have always experienced terrible muscle gains (but I have been
relatively successful in trimming bodyfat), have almost no
facial hair, and I would say an under average sex drive for a
22 year old. Think it's worth getting them removed?

Thanks

Yes, by all means, remove your testicles. This should improve
your testosterone and ability to father children. You can kill
two birds with one stone this way.

You do not get varicocele "removed": the surgeon makes a very
small abdominal incision, finds the vessel that feeds the
varicocele, and ligates it.
