i'm trying to help someone who had strange reactions to all
kinds of foods for a very long time. nothing in allopathic or
alternative diagnosis/treatments worked so far.

she was just recently given a cck hida scan, in which it was
determined that her gallblader doesn't contract at all, she
has zero contraction, which she was told is very rare, and it
was recomended to her to have her gallblader removed
surgically (she was told she is not loosing anything since her
gall blader isn't functioning anyways).

she was also told it is possible she had a chronic long time
gallblader inflammation, which could have made her feel run
down and to have flu like symptoms, which she had all this
time. furthermore, her strange reactions to various foods,
could have been due to her digestive system reacting to the
various foods and triggering a normal release of bile, but in
her case of a inflammed gallblader would trigger a flu like
reaction. (they found some gall stones in her about a year
ago but since many people have them, and since she didn't
have classical symptoms of gall stone distress, it was not
explored further.)

has anybody heard or experienced anything like this? has it
improved with the removal of the gallblader.

i also wonder if the gall balder infammation could be due to
to an infection, which might be treatable with some
antibiotic, which might restore the gall blader function? if
anyone knows about or had any experience with a gallblader
infection please let me know?

is there some website where i might find out more about this?

thanks for any help
