This may be the wrong place to post this, but I always get the quickest and most helpful responses on this board  . I wanted to know whether I could "trust" the impact carb number on EAS bars. Someone suggested I use the hidden carb tool--but I can't find an explanation of what the numbers calculated mean--and how on earth it can tell me the carb count when I input virtually nothing about the food. Can anyone explain these term to me: Carb Factor, Fat factor, Protein Factor, Actual Carb Count, Difference by Weight? I will keep looking on this site for the info, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly apprecite it. Thanks!

I don't know how to use that tool so someone else will have to explain that. However, it isn't really necessary to use it for those bars because they already list the total carbs on the package. You can either count the total carbs for the portion of bar that you eat, or count the effective carbs and hope the bars don't stall you.

My husband can eat those daily and they don't bother him a bit, but I have to be careful how much I eat of them. Therefore, he counts the ECC (effective carb count, which is usually 2 or 3) and I count the total carbs (usually in the 20's, but I don't eat a whole bar at once). You'll just need to see if they stall you and then count carbs accordingly - or avoid them altogether.
