Hi Karen,
I recenlty bought a packet of soy flour but i am not sure what's the carb for the soy flour. Is soy flour a low carb flour compared to the normal baking flour? Is it advisible to use soy flour to make pancake??

Thanks :)

Hi cherie!

Soya flour can be used for making pancakes, but they may taste not as good as what you are expecting. Usually a combination of ingredients is used for making things that would normally use flour. Along with a bit of soy flour, a combination of these ingredients are used: ground almonds, whey protein, wheat gluten, oat flour, soy protein isolate, vital wheat gluten, flax meal...

There are different pancake recipes and ideas here (http://forum.lowcarber.org/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=143617&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) and here (http://www.lowcarb.ca/recipes/breakfast.html).

You can find the carb count for soy flour by using the Carb Counter in Low Carb Tools at the top of the page,

Karen
