My wife and I are on this diet. I have lost a few pounds in the last two weeks. The problem is the she has not and we were wondering if it may have anything to do with the drug Tamoxifen that she is taking for breast cancer follow up treatment.

I copied this from MedicineNet.com:
SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effects associated with tamoxifen are: hot flashes, weight gain , abnormal menstrual periods, and nausea.
Since weight gain is one of the side effects, it could hinder weight loss. On the other hand, at least your DW isn't likely to gain weight while low carbing and may even lose, although it will probably be more slowly than most. I'd encourage her to stick with it even if her weight loss is slow.
Hope this helps!

Dear Maguirepbm:
The tamoxifen could be causing something of a problem. I have been on Femara (for breast cancer (twice) for the last two years. I have still managed to lose 18 pounds since August 1 of this year. The weight will come off. It just takes a lot of patience. Men lose faster than women in most cases, anyway.
Stick with it!

Hi Katie,
I can't exactly say "welcome to the club" but it is a kind of club. Only no one wants to be a memeber...
I've been told to cut out cheese, no aspartame (and I so love my sugar free jello). Do you think that matters? Do you avoid bacon? I'm curious to know if I should stay away from this stuff, even though this is the stuff that makes the diet bearable. Congratulations on your success and your survival.
Thanks for writing back.
