I've always (since my gallbladder surgery) had problems with diarrhea and LC'ing is really 'stirring things up'!

I went through some of the digests and made a mistake. I thought Sugar Free Citrucel was recommended, but I just went back and re-read... it's Sugar Free Metamucil.

Does anyone know if there is a difference? I spent a lot of money on the Citrucel and would hate to have to chuck it and start over!

Thanks,
Karla

Hi there. Here is a link to the Citrucel home page with all kinds of info:
http://www.citrucel.com/information.html

It says that Citrucel is fiber made of methylcellulose - kind of like an edibel tree - which adds fiber to your diet. That's the same sort of thing as psyllium but they claim it cannot ferment in the intestines.

I take 1 psyllium capsule daily to keep from having diarrhea which comes when I am on low carb.

I think you should be OK on citrucel. Try a few days and see if it has the 'desired effect'. I hope so.

Hello,

I went to the website and there is no discusion on the carb count of citrucel, and the customer service has ignored several of my attempts to acquire it.

the fact that it is 100% soluable fiber makes me think that insullin may be affected since this is the oppisite of psyllium husks.

Anyone know the answer?

Thanks in advance....
