Does anyone happen to know the carb count for one of these? 12 oz drink contains 1 shot espresso, foamed 1/2 & 1/2 (about 1.25 cup), and I take a squirt of SF vanilla in mine. OH it is de-lish! But I'd sure like to know what it's worth on the carb count, if there's anyone out there who knows.

1 cup of 1/2 &1/2 is carbs 10.41 - 13.01 for 1 1/4 cups - and a shot of espresso in around 0.8. So it's about 14 grams for the whole shebang.
Did you know that there is a great carb-counter under Low Carb Tools at the top of the page?

nope - i didn't, but I see it now, thanks! aawh! I should have known the Breve was too good to be true. Better make it at home, with heavy cream instead of 1/2 & 1/2. Thanks, Karen

Get a tall americano (two shots espresso with 5 or 6 oz hotwater). Add the SF vanilla or hazelnut (i think it has either 0 or 1 carb).
Then add a little cream or ask the barista to give you heavy cream. They have it because they make the whipped cream in-house with heavy cram and sugar. I used to be a barista in my college days and i am very certain of this. Thsi way you can reduce the carbs down to 2 or 3 carbs at the most. it wont be heavy as the breve though.

Thanks! I'll try that! I REALLY want one NOW! They are without a doubt my indulgence. I guess we all have one food/drink that "feels good" to us. It's all warm in my tummy and creamy on my tongue. I love it!

Hi,
I am from Seattle..and am a Starbucks addict!! All of my family knows and always gets me gift cards for holidays! Since starting back on program though, I havent been there once except to get the coffee of the day..to which i added cream. I have wondered about the breve latte..thought I would try it. Do they really add that much half and half to it? That sounds like such an awful lot!
I will go for the americano I think, and ask them to add the heavy cream..didnt know they had that there..thanks for the input and info!

I didn't think about the amount of half and half having all those carbs. I do know that when they steam teh half and half, the volume increases so it comes out to less than a full 10 oz of half and half. it probably is more like 5 oz if it is really light and frothy.
inever worked for starbucks, i actually worked for an independent company using seattle's best coffee. the owner was from seattle and she was willing to use milk that a customer brought in (ie lactose free or organic) if she didnt carry it. so another idea is to bring in a pint of your own heavy creamand aske the barista to team it for you. of course, i would recommend you not do it during the 7am rush:)
By the way, wehen you get the americano, i wold recommend that you aske for "extra room"-at least an inch from the top to add your heavy cream or half and half.
