hi everyone

a week a go i visited a alternative doctor who told me to go low fat and to eat melon, papaya or pineapple in the morning salad , a little piece of meat and half a potato for lunch and dinner to " put all the toxines out of my body" he also told me to quite every quimical added foods.
i want to go back to atkins or other lowcarb diet because thats the way i want to eat, is the way im used to and i love it, i cant live eating that way , i happen to like fat and protein foods!!!
where can i find clear and truthful information to show him and to make him believe me ? i want to lowcar again with his aproval. im a 13 teenager so, what kind of medication would improve my pcos without damaging me ? ( got no menstruation and feel anxious and depressed sometimes or feel like my lower stomach is going to explote).

If you looked at links below there was one for two great sites that might give you the support you need.
www.pcos.net
www.pcos.com
I hope that is what they are. You should be able to find some good answers there.
Otherwise tell your doctor that you do not want to do something that can increase insulin resistance. I don't think you need meds, but diet can help greatly.

I take glucophage but there are side effects with it and possible long term effects. You can also take chromium picolinate.

Good Luck
