Living in rural Nebraska, it's very difficult to come up with fresh fish or seafood, and other protein sources. Beef is common and so is chicken but those get old fast. I really like cheese, is it so bad for us? My favorite meal is a big tray of fresh vegetables and some cheese slices. I know there should be more protein so I often add summer sausage (i know, additives...).
Can you give me other ideas or information why cheese is so bad for us?
Thanks!

Hi Angel!

Would you like your thread moved into the Schwarzbein Forum?

On a paleo program, nothing that requires the intervention of man to be edible - except cooking intervention - is eaten. You can read the synopsis of Neanderthin in Which low-carb plan is right for me? (http://www.lowcarb.ca/atkins-diet-and-low-carb-plans/index.html)

What about canned tuna, salmon and sardines. Most frozen fish - Highliner for example - is actually fresher than fresh fish as it is caught and immediately processed on the boat. Some fresh fish like salmon - even on the West Coast - can take up to 2 weeks to arrive "fresh" at the distributors.

The link you post here on "which low carb diet is right for me" shows the page currently unavailable. I looked through the forums and FAQs and didn't find it. Is it on this site somewhere or is it just temporarily unavailable?

It's there! If you look under Quick Links to the right of the page, you'll see it there too! :)

Comes up fine now, but I tried it three times this afternoon and got errors each time. Must have been a hiccup on my end somewhere.

Thanks again. :)
