First of all, thank you Karen for pointing out this area to me!

Am I a turtle, or just losing track? Well I am going to print out Karen's list and see where I am going wrong. I have been doing Atkins since June 02, having followed low fat since 1st Oct 01 and losing approx 21 lbs. Since starting Atkins I have lost/gained and lost again until the total weight loss since 1st Oct is 24 lbs. So I have lost 1 lb a month since starting Atkins! :q:

I have had a few cheats, falls, stumbles, etc. but willing to give this until Christmas and commit properly to see if it is me making me fail again or whether I am one of life's tweakers.

I have lost three dress sizes since lc-ing, so not all bad news. Anyway, 'nice' to find fellow 'sufferers'.

I don't think this can be repeated enough. MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT! AND MUSCLE TAKES UP LESS SPACE THAN FAT!
Many people face and are confused by this. You can actually gain weight while going down multiple dress sizes. Also, if you have been on low fat for a while, you can have a deficit in your muscles that your first weeks/months on Atkins will work at repairing, even without a lot of exercise.

Have patience. You are seeing visual results. You are losing fat! Atkins is working! For a lot of people a tape measure or a picture reading at periodic intervals offers a truer picture of their "fat" loss.

Hi there Slinky,

I think that the best way for anyone here to help you out with LCing is for you to start a journal and record your daily menus. Sometimes we are just too close to it to see and someone else can spot areas that could be holding you back. For many forum members, simply recording daily food is enough to get them back on track. Hope that you will choose to try this.

Wishing you LC success!
