This group looks great. I just started on the Atkins diet a
few weeks ago. I've been very overweight for about 6 years (
before that I had at most 20 to 50 pounds extra, and never had
trouble losing it), because I almost died from an infected
tooth, got so weak I could barely move, and gained over 130 to
140 pounds. I gained 45 pounds in the first 45 days. I sold my
weights because I was too weak to exercise, and had trouble
standing up long enough to take a shower. Only recently have I
felt strong enough to start doing anything about it.

I am VERY glad that my Dad got me to read the Atkins book. I
found out the old guy isn't a quack after all. I can't weigh
yet because the Scales I have access to don't go over 350,
but I have put 3 new holes in my belt, and my pants are
threating to fall off.

I fell great on Atkins, my feet aren't all full of water, and
my Irritable Bowel is in an amazingly good mood.

It looks like this group will be a big help.

Thanks,Dennis

Thanks all. I got the numbers confused on the last post. Irv,
