I guess that i was doing great for those last 2 weeks, after yesterday little escaped with cheese i seem to have gained some back.

I am now at 198 pounds.

Mistakes:

I didnt start right this week, usually i do my gross thing with sipping oil every 2-3 hours to get into ketosis, i didnt do that this time, started Sunday with whole food.

I sort of panic when people here started to tell me that i lost too much weight, so i did a Tuesday carb up, wish i should have, i was a bit pissed because i wasnt in ketosis yet.

For me reaching ketosis is where the fun start, i can add another thermogenic stack and burn a bit more fat.

I have learned, i guess i will be training more too, 33 sets of training yesterday got me really sore today, but at least i know that glycogen has been burned.

 Thats what its all about.

I cant wait to start training my girlfriend, this time she will lose all the weight she wants to lose, my guess is around X-mas we will get a membership to the gym, training on Sunday Morning, monday after work and Friday after work, popping in the tae bo tap twice a week.

Unlike many here i have to cut my carbs near zero to get into ketosis, i really hope that by tomorrow i reach ketosis.

Today is another oil day, with the training i add yesterday and the oil if everything goes well i should hit ketoland tomorow.

Another thing i saw a post that talked about ALA not good to get into ketosis faster, well i have to agree, i took up to 5g once and it really did nothing.

When i carb up i will try it to see if it help with spillovers. Right now i am not impressed by ALA.

Cheese is known to cause water retention----lots of salt. Not a big deal. :)

This is interesting...never heard of anyone drinking oil! LOL. I just make homemade mayonaise without sugar and vinegar and use that on meats....gets the fat in and no drinking oil grose-outs! LOL

Gosh, RealDeal.... I hope I didn't make you feel like that! :( If I did, I'm sorry. What I was trying to tell you is that initially it's QUITE normal to lose a ton of weight, but that it's mostly water and glycogen. Not that it's a bad thing that you've lost that much. Not at all. Heck, some have lost 18lbs to a little over 20lbs, depending on how big they were before starting the diet and if they were dieting BEFORE they began low carbing. Like me, I went from the SlimFast plan---where I'd lost 15lbs in six weeks----to Atkins. My induction loss was only 5lbs, but I'd ALREADY lost the initial water loss on SlimFast.

I have learned, i guess i will be training more too, 33 sets of training yesterday got me really sore today, but at least i know that glycogen has been burned.

Hey, we all learn. I learned that on my activity level I can't live on ultra low to no carbs, AND I need WAY more calories! Lyle scolded me a little over this. LOL... in a nice way. I listed what my activity level is in a week (by day) and he said he didn't know what calorie level I was at, but he knew it was TOO LOW. I learned the hard way----again----because I felt like I was death walking. NO energy, sleeping 11hrs a day or so, not feeling right period, and had to skip dance practice yesterday and cardio today because of it. BUT----I'm taking his advice and doing a week long re-feed to correct/level/normalize leptin levels.

I'm so active I guess that after low carbing for 7mos and doing what I do I've totally screwed everything up. I mean, I can't even get a reading on the ketostix lately...especially since getting real tired and weak. Lyle told me that it was because I was burning excess ketones for fuel....because I wasn't eating enough (though I thought I was).

Anyway, today I ate---more than I normally would, and I feel (omg!) HUMAN again! I had two EAS bars inbetween meals, probably more protein than I should've though...oops. I'm not used to eating other supplements so forgot that the bars had 29g protein each! LOL.

I'm still going to do the depletion workout tomorrow, and then I'm going to carb up----but not with as many carbs as I normally would. I have to recheck this with Lyle, though. I don't want to start putting on the fat.

I wonder if the depletion workout will burn glycogen stores effectively if you're taking in a lot of carbs?? Hmmn.

Unlike many here i have to cut my carbs near zero to get into ketosis, i really hope that by tomorrow i reach ketosis.

I tried that, too, and I got into ketosis a little sooner, but at a serious price----my energy, drive, stamina, and overall health. You may not have the extensive regimen I do (I teach dance, so it takes up a lot of my time and means I'm exercising a LOT). More power to ya, realdeal!! I wont be cutting my carbs that low again-----felt just like I was dying from something, and if it ruins my workouts, to heck with it!

Anyway, I really only meant to tell you that your initial loss wasn't "wrong" or "bad." Just mostly water and that those who lose 2lbs in the beginning----that's okay, too. It's all good. :)

Good luck to you and your girlfriend----the gym thing together sounds really cool. I work out when I can with my fiance, too.
