Since starting lowcarb on 09/16, I have noticed that vegetables taste much sweeter than they used to. Has anyone else experienced this? I just had some sugar snap peas for 5 carb grams and 3 fiber grams and it was just like having a dessert! :D

Could be. Could also be that you are eating real food and really tasting it after formerly eating processed and deep fried foods more. A lot of packaged foods have so much salt in them that you mostly taste that. you might even find that a LOT of things taste better and more flavourful. Especially with butter on them!

Isn't it great? I've noticed the same thing. Feels like I'm tasting many foods for the first time- including vegetables in all of their sweet glory. Just another benefit of this great WOE.

When you go on a carb restricted diet, your sensitivity to sweet taste increases. In fact, somethings you used to enjoy are now sickening sweet if you ever have them again. I also have found some diet sodas are now too sweet.

I've Definitely noticed this! I've never been one for processed foods, and have always eaten fairly healthfully, but there is just no question that these days my vegetables taste wonderfully sweet. I find myself saving my salad for dessert most nights with dinner.
And just like Zuleikaa said, I've found that sometimes when I have white wines that I used to like (though by all means not all of them) they taste much too sweet to me all the sudden.

I'm doing CKD. Carbing up is fun the first hour or so, then I'm craving my low-carb foods and I can't wait until it's over. My mouth just feels sticky and my teeth get this yucky sugary coating. I'll take keto breath any day. LOL
I'm also a lot more sensitive to salt. I used to put salt on everything: eggs, meat, veggies. Now I never use it and don't miss it a bit. My husband made chicken the other night and seasoned it with salt and some other spices, I had to wipe it off. I couldn't taste anything but the salt.
