Even if i am not in ketosis i find myself losing some body weight ( i never say fat because i am just not sure if its fat, glycogen or water.) after my carb up, at least 2 pounds.

Do you absolutly need to get into ketosis to lose Fat or just the fact of being in low carb can make you lose fat.

In ketosis there is a lot of things you cant do, ( use mouthwash, eat no sugar gum, drink diet sodas etc etc, in low carb seems that you can.

I found that if you dont eat of the above your insulin doesnt raize that much, this is what scares me the most because when insulin is high you dont burn fat.

ketosis is a result of low carbing.

i usually get into ketosis sometime on wednesday and i drink diet coke and chew sugar free gum.

ketosis varies from person to person also, some can achieve it with 30 or more cabs per day, others need to stay below 20 grams and some need to stay even lower.

Ok so i will limit my cheese intake, i have to be careful and check the ketostix to see what i can and cant eat.

How long have you been on the ketogenic diet.

Thanks for the info.
