Hello fellow Somersizers! I am fairly new to the LC forums and didn't even realize till today that there was a Somersizers forum! Cool! I had started this WOE a year ago, for 2 months, to get ready for a 20 year high school reunion and lost about 13 lbs. then went back to my old WOE. BIG mistake! I have started up again and have lost 7 lbs. in 2.5 weeks! :p Plus, have lost 2.5 inches in my waist, and 2 inches in my lower belly! (I've had 3 C-sections) Needless to say, I am thrilled! I enjoy the Somersizing WOE...it works for me, and my husband too. He's lost 15 lbs in 2.5 weeks. You all hang in there and keep on Somersizing!! I'm here for ya!

Welcome Tammy! Way to go!!
This is a great website, such a variety of forums!
I am struggling to get back to this woe but I am having a hard time...I do know that when I am eating low carb I am not hungry like I was when I did Weight Watchers. Hopefully, I will get my self together and get back on track!

Hi Susan, I find this way of eating is easier and I can actually lose inches & weight! I am not as strict as some, as I eat a carb meal almost everyday. Usually a cup of shredded wheat w/milk for breakfast. Then no or low carb the other meals. Have you read "Eat great, lose weight" by Suzanne Somers or any of her books? You hang in there with this, ok? You can do it!

Hi
I am new here, I have been somersizing for a little over 2 wks, while I think this woe makes so much sense, I haven't really lost, cause I guess I cheat, I love to have my red wine in the evening, and I guess that messes the plan up, :( I gained some weight after stopping smoking, and also post menopausal, but am no longer on hormones, thanks to BC... well, I am exercising like never before, now pilates, wow, are they intense,, they look so easy, but wow do you feel it!! All this is new to me as I have never really had to diet, I had joined ediets, but just couldn't follow their meal plans, although I tried to watch the calories, as thats what their program is, calorie counting.
Is there any plan you can go on where you are allowed some wine???

Check out Montignac. It's very similar to the Somers plan. (I tend to think of Somers is an Americanized version of it.)
I believe he allows wine.
