I would first like to know how old you are. You really don't have a great deal to loose, 14 lbs may seem like a lot now but the best way is slow and steady, and I'm not convinced that you need any meds. Try the diet control first, and put some weight bearing exersice in. You would be a great candidate for the firm type work outs that use both light weights and aerobic activity.
Just my opinion but if you arent' having trouble with your cycles at the moment adding meds can just mess you up at this point and not really help.
Before we can really help we need to know abit more about you and what all your symptoms are.
Tanya
If you do weight bearing exersice and use weights do not weigh yourself, do measurement. That is where you will notice any sort of results.

im 13 years old, and 1,70 metters tall, i have a secundary amenohrrea ( no cycle since may) , so i have problems with my cycles and a lot, and i´ve tried the diet since june , with the support of my uncle, aunts and my mother. they are all atkins dieters. recently i stopped it because the doctor and the nutricionist told me to stop it but i wont hear them anymore and continue lowcarbing, like im doing now.
What do you mean " firm type exercise work outs that use both light weights and aerobic activity" i exercise regularly i make about 45 minutes of bike form 4 to 5 times a week, so what kind of light weight excersie would you recommend me? .

When did you start your cycles? At thirteen it is not unusual to have that sort of irregularity. I also had very irregular cycles all through out my teenage years and actually all my life, I have never been regular unless I was on a pill.
Since you are 13 don't do any heavy weight lifting yet but you could do very light weight work outs. The Firm is a studio in North Carolina that has produced work out tapes. The are great and a good way to increase muscle tone and metabolism. At 13 I'm not so sure that working with weights more than a light weight is a good idea because your body is still growing, still getting the hormone production working correctly. If you arent' comfortable with atkins you might want to consider The Schwarzbein principle. Your family could work with that very well and it would balance what you need. You still need more carbs than most people because your body is using energy to grow and develop so balance is very, very, important.
Others here may have other ideas. Good for you to try to take control of it now at this age. I wish I had such knowlege when I was 13, my life would be much different now.

I'm not sure what meds you should be on if you have ammenorhea, I don't recall right off what they do for that but if they do put you on a pill generally a low estrogen is the best. They should do some lab studies to see what is exactly going on with you.
Good luck and keep working at what you are doing.
