At my dr's appointment last week, she gave me a copy of test results for the endo I will be seeing next Monday.
I noted the following:
TSH Test Results 'Normal' 0,05-4,2 --- Healthier target* 0,5-2,0
02/99 ---> 3,8 --- 03/02 ---> 4,38 --- 09/02 ---> 4,82 :eek:
Free T4 Test Results 'Normal' 13,0-23,0 --- Healthier target* >20,0
02/99 ---> ? --- 03/02 ---> 17,5 --- 09/02 ---> 15,6 :eek:
I believe these #s indicate a sub-clinical hypo, especially after listing all the symptoms I can relate to :daze: in the Thyroïd Info sticky (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49591) posted by Jeanner! Thank you Jeanner great job :thup: :thup: :thup:
:q: A few questions to you guys in the know/experienced :angel: with hypothyroïd:
1. Did your #s have to be much higher/lower (than say TSH >10,0) to be considered serious enough for treatment?
2. In a case of sub-clinical hypo (TSH <10,0), what meds were prescribed if any?
3. Did your endo aim for healthier numbers (* above).
(see article defining 'Normal' TSH (http://www.thyroid.org.au/Information/NormalTSH.html))
I wish to be prepared for next Monday - and get out of the on again/off again funk of the last few years. Seems the endo is excellent, from what I read about her on the internet.
TIA
Denyse
