Tangy Oven-Fried Curried Chicken

1 (4 to 5 lb chicken) cut into pieces
1 tsp salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup boiling water
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1 Tablespoon water
2 tsp Worchestershire sauce
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp paprika
2 to 3 dashes hot cayenne pepper

Salt chicken and place skin side down in a shallow baking dish. Combine all remaining ingredients and brush both sides of chicken with mixture reserving remaining sauce to marinade chicken while it is baking. Bake chicken at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour, turning and basting often. Immediately before serving, turn oven up to 400 degrees for 10 minutes to crisp chicken.
