How do you follow low carbs during pregnancy? I just found out and I am terrified to gain like I did last pregnancy. I have an 8 month old at home and I didn't lose all the weight.

Low-carbing isn't recommended for pregnant women. But you can follow the maintenance plan. That's Dr. Atkins advice from his latest book.

How do you know what your maintenance level is if you haven't been LCing before?

I have a friend who doesn't want to loose weight now that she's pregnant, but she also does not want to gain any either!

Any help or advice you can give?

Well this would be my general advice

Cut out all refined carbs and starchy carbs. Sugar, White flour, white rice, potatoes, pasta. Eat moderate amounts of whole-grain carbs: whole-wheat flour, brown rice, any legume (they are really good for you) and plenty of good-quality protein (eggs, chicken, fish), tons of veggies, fruits like berries (they are the best) and don't neglect fats with an emphasis on good fats like olive oil (especially the cold pressed kind).

This isn't Atkins but I think you can't go wrong eating like this.
