I read through some of the newbie questions, I’m sure I would find this topic if I search enough but I might as well dive right in. I’ve seen two posters who may be in the same boat as me. Using Protein Power I calculated my lean mass at 200lbs. For my age my ideal weight should be 224 – 236, I’m 268 now. So my protein would be 120 – 140 grams a day using 6 – 7 percent. I know too much protein isn’t bad (well hundreds of grams would be). Just wondering about others who calculate a rate this high. I can get enough protein for breakfast and dinner, but lunch is tough. Maybe I’ll look on the exercise board for body builders. I’m not one but do lift weights.

Would I ever re-calculate the lean mass number?

Also, excuse me if I missed this, this forum uses a few acronyms and not all are obvious. Perhaps on the newbie questions threads there could be a list of them, in one post? (i.e. a moderator could collect them as they are added to the thread).

Many more questions to come!

Try a tuna salad for lunch...that usually can do it, one small can of tuna and I also generally add 1 boiled egg to it chopped up too, it adds a nice flavor and is yummy and chalk full of protein too.

Good luck

My protein intake is supposed to also be well over 100 grs a day..and usually is.
