Hi all, thanks for all your input and encouragement. I guess Nat was right that diet is really the key. I went back on induction for three days just to see if things would be different I lost back down to 225 which is close to my lowest weight of 223.

My little boy came in this morning to my room and used my fat calipers to measure himself, then he wanted me to check too. I wasn't planning to, but I did, they measured 20 mm at the sacroilliac point (this is the one point measurement that my calipers has you check).

It measured that consistently at least three times. I started at 30mm, so that is a change from 36.9 down to 31.5, a change (if it can be trusted) of 5.4% body fat since the beginning of the month.

I know that seems like a lot, and I'm sure some of it is water weight lost, but I feel a little better now. I feel like whatever I'm doing must be working at least to some extent.

An even better indication was last night when I found myself comfortably sleeping on my stomach. I haven't done that in YEARS! and I used to always be a stomach sleeper. It got too uncomfortable when I got too fat. That was really a wonderful thing to discover.

So my plan now is to stay close to induction level carbs. I think I was a little low last night and tired at the end of the day as a result, so I may have to increase them a little. I REALLY want this to work like nothing has worked in the past. I'm not going to be satisfied with just being more toned and strong, I want some real fat losses. Anyway I feel encouraged and ready to take on the world now that I've seen some results I can trust.

Yes, Sherry, you have to watch the induction levels of carbs and not let them get too low.

I was at induction levels of carbs for my first Challenge but I had to increase them (mostly by adding fruits to my diet - berries, apples and cantelaupe in particular) because I was finding my energy levels dropping dramatically in the late afternoon and early evening. I guess the offical term for that is "bonking."

Anyway, just before starting C3 I returned to induction for two weeks as a jumping off point and since C3W1, I have increased carbs again (mostly veggies this time) to prevent that energy drain.

But don't ask me exactly how many carbs I eat in grams as I don't actually measure anything!

And, of course, I eat six small meals a day!

Keep up the great work!
