2.9 grams of carbs per bottle 96 calories

Let's do the math
10 bottles = 29 carbs
1 Olive = 1 carb
Yup I have made my carb limit j/k :D

Suppose to be in test markets and is supposed to be rolled out sept 30

anybody seen or drank one of these yet??

Think they will taste like porkskins :D

Haven't tried it yet, but they're advertising the hell out of it in Chicago...

Of course they advertise carb blockers and low carb products quite a lot in Chicago...perhaps because we're all SO FAT!

On a lighter (and slightly mean) note, I'm truly enjoying the fact that a woman in my office who told me LCing was bad and would not work for me is eating her words now that I've lost more than 90lbs. Now she says I am her inspiration to "do something" about her ever increasing girth...

It does work.....

Maysariel, I am a beer-chick too. What did you drink before (brand-wise)? I have been looking everywhere to try it and haven't found it yet. It is also being televised a lot in the Detroit area. My DH asked a neighborhood party store to order a couple of six packs for us to try - haven't come in yet.

Out of curiosity, how are they being advertised? Are they advertising specifically for low carbers or as another light beer? How do they taste in relation to other beers? Lighter?

Sigh, I guess us beer-drinking canucks will have to wait as usual.

Beer...I MISS Beer. In my younger days I thought you could die if you didn't drink beer. With age comes (tiny amounts of) wisdom, I guess.

I'm also going to ask our local beer store about it. Not heard of it in the Baltimore/DC area yet.

Actually...now that I think of it, Doesn't Coors Light have about the same # of carbs? Thought I saw that on the label. Not a great or even good beer but I'll check it out & get back with info.

I drank pretty much whatever I could afford ;)

Bud light was what I drank most...I believe Miller light had the lowest carb count before this Mich Ultra. I haven't even seen a commercial for it to be honest, just went to Publix the other day and there it was! Lucky me I suppose :D

It tastes good, not any lighter than other beers and maybe my taste has changed because before the other night I hadn't drank for a little while, but it actually had a lot of flavor, tasted sweet ...I am sure LC has something to do with that =)

Lite beer from Miller has 3.2 carbs per 12 oz and 96 calories per their label.

You can check out Mich "Ultra" Michelob's website (http://www.michelob.com)

I saw someone buying it in a Giant in Manassas VA. I asked them what it taste like but they hadn't tried it yet. I was next up in line so didn't go back for it.

I love an occasional beer but I like the good stuff, dark and rich! It's the German in me :D , can't stand the light stuff.

I have tried the Michelob ultra my husband had heard about it and saw an add in the newspaper for it so we went to all the grocery stores for it and nothing. then on the way home we stopped at a convienent store and there it was :cheer: I was so excited I was jumping around like i had just hit the lottery lol. It was funny when I took it to the counter the kid ringing it up said " What the heck is this stuff? Is this something new?" LOL. It does taste like regular beer but I think that the it has a tad less alcohol in it then regular beer, I like Miller light also it has low carbs too.

I found it at the local liquor store in DC, and bought a six-pack, but am waiting for my stall to end before I indulge (and having it in there unopened is killing me!). Will report back once I'm able to taste it.

Kaki,
I have traveled many times to Germany on business - I too have developed a taste for their wonderful dark beer! ;)

The commercial (if I recall) just says for those who want lower carbs - nothing about diet.

My hubby told me he was going to make me some jello shots w/Absolute = zero carbs!!!! I had to think of something before hockey season starts! :D

Just checked with a local store owner and he said that Michelob Ultra will be in stock in his store this coming week.

Location is Rural Hall , NC.

Well, I tried it and I must say, it's a bit on the watery side and just a bit too light for me. It will do in a pinch but I can't see myself drinking a lot of it. Think I would rather save up my carbs and just have one really good dark beer every once in a while.

With 5 carbs, I believe that Amstel has the best taste/carb ratio.

Miller light is decent too, especially if you haven't had a "real" beer in a while.

Of course, you can always go to liquor for high taste and no carbs. I am ecstatic over my discovery of Canada Dry diet Tonic Water, which is sweetened with Saccharine. Mmmmmmm gin and tonics.....

I am however, looking forward to Michelob ultra. I'll have to "test " a 6-pack to make sure I'm not missing out on anything.

I had one last night. It was sparkly tasting, kind of like beer-flavored sparkling water. Very refreshing!

I live in South Florida and went home to Indiana on vacation last month. "My" beer is regular Michelob Light and whenever I go home to visit, my brother always has a case waiting. I told him to get the Michelob Ultra this time because I actually had plans to LC while I was there. (Of course, it didn't happen! :o )
When my brother inquired about it, the clerk at the liquor store said that they were testing it here in Florida and it would be there sometime this month.
It's decent beer. It's definitely not as full-bodied as regular Mich Lite, but it's not bad. It doesn't leave an after-taste or anything. I've been keeping it in my refrigerator for when I crave a beer.
Has anyone tried the Baja Bob's drink mixes? The Margarita and Sweet and Sour is really good. I had been DYING for a Margarita for quite awhile and I got on the Atkins website and there they were!
