 Good afternoon everyone.

Thought I would let ya'll know how Monday went. It was a great food day, but emotionaly you would think all hell broken loose.

You know I kept waiting for everthing to be good in my life, family's health, money, etc., however I've come to the conclusion the perfect life is a myth. I kept waiting for tom. before I changed my woe. It never came and I gained 150 pounds. Have finally realized my personal problems have escalted along with my poundage. No more that is one problem in my life that I can handle.

So far today food has not been a problem. Cooked lots of chicken yesterday and will have that again today along with spinach.
:hyper:
Thanks for letting me vent. Have a healthy day.

Yeah! for you for realizing that.

I have to watch my eating when I get stressed too, but for the last 3-4 months it really hasn't been much of a problem.

When I feel myself "needing" food, I ask "Is this because you are hungry, or because you think it will make you feel good". And then if I think I am hungry I tell myself that I can have whatever (LC food) after I drink a glass of water and/or 30 minutes is up. So far it has worked well. You may want to find your own conversation to have with yourself at times like these.

Thanks Talon this sounds like a good idea. Even though I've started low carb, I still would like to eat only when physically hungry and your idea of delay tactics would help me a lot in this area.

Have a great night

Slang, you're so right on target by carefully considering the reasons behind to overeating...

...the more attention and consideration you give these matters, the more successful you'll be. Becauase some time down the road your resolve will be tested. It will help you resist the urge to turn to foods for comfort, security, familiarity, etc. if you understand and recognize the reasons behind the desire....

Good luck to you!

Thanks Donald,

This is my first week and I'm so resolved for this to work this time.
In just 5 days I can see results. I'm getting a little energy so that I went to lunch with friends today. Hadn't done that in months. Seem to be moving a little better and depression has lifted some. And believe me there have been opportunities for me to quit, money, plumbing problems and no a/c in car.

However, it appears that something has happened everything seems to be clicking.

The board's support and recipes are a blessing.

Have a healthy evening,
