I want to lose some weight; im about 2 stone (cant convert)
overweight for my height (5'7 - im about 13 stone). i also
want to get fit, althogh not to superhuman levels - ive no
wish to join the olympic team.

i asked my dr for some advice, he said 'just start running
slowly' - and thats about it. what i need to know is, for a
beginner who is pretty out of shape, how to start running
safely and realistically.

thanks

martin

Third time posting this same message, Martin. You need to
learn patience. You also could learn how to use a search
engine. But since I know a good site for you to read about
starting running, I'll share:

http://www.runnersworld.com/home/nr/1,4335,,00.html?site-
=NewRunner

If you need more info, go to Yahoo, type "Running + Beginner"
into the search box.
