Not being smart, but as in overweight? Or do you think
you have something else going on.

Hi kurt,

actually Larry is being medical in his terminology when he
calls it "belly size" For instance NHANES 1 assessed the
presence or absence of a "beer belly" (The panel of physicians
decided to call it this, subjects never even saw the
question). (Coded as 1 "yes" or 0"no" or 8 for not assessed)

Milk is probably 2nd most frequently consumed food along with
bread, after coffee in the US therefore one of highest sources
of certain nutrients that are actually low in concentration in
milk. In contrast to what you've heard, which may be accurate,
there was a conference recently published (2 months ago?) in
Journal of the American College of Nutrition of several
articles all arguing that milk might prevent weight gain.

(I'm not a regular milk consumer myself though. Also thing
about milk
- harvard and the milk industry itself have shown
*tentatively* that milk as well as skim milk might affect
IGF-1 levels. Probably not enough strength in evidence to
recommend any adjustment in diet though for those who enjoy
it though.)
