I was curious,, I thought I saw something somewhere,, lost the link.

Heard/read something about how stopping smoking can make a major difference while attempting low carbing.

I've been back and forth with stopping and starting as of late.

Giving myself till my Bday (next week) and then giving it another (final hopefully) shot.

Any info would be appreciated!

There is a connection and it can be found in the Protein Power FAQ (http://eatprotein.com/answers10.html#10c) - the readers digest version is that cesation of smoking leads to improved insulin sensitivity.

Thanks for that link, Nat....I NEEDED to read that this morning.

I felt it was true...I was able to go about 2 weeks completely smoke free...and I LOST a little weight, too...but then, tensions crept in and I've had about 3 in the past two days...

All is not lost...I really want to get back on the wagon, and be smoke free...I felt better immediately...

Today is a big picnic with swimming, softball and volleyball...followed by a great dinner with great (prime rib!) low carb goodies....so...wish me luck...I really want to get back on the balll...I was feeling sooo good.

REFUSING to beat myself up!

My Bday is on Tuesday. I think I will try again, starting afresh right after my bday. I cant cheat even if I wanted to due to a job medical,,, so what the heck,,, cant eat,, might as well not smoke!
