This is just an update to "Angry, Frustrated & Depressed". On 7/20 I went back to L/C. I'm grateful to all of you who wrote back and sympathized.

I have one little anecdote to relate that happened on 7/13. I had called a company that does A/C vent cleaning because there was a musty odor coming from ours. One of the guys that came here told me the A/C had mold in it (I called my landlord and had him take care of it). That led to talking about allergies and he recommended that I cut down carbs and I confessed I'd been on L/C until recently, then he told me about his past success with Atkins and that he learned the hard way that's the way to go because he regained the weight he had lost but was already back "on track". He was really motivated and that day I knew I'd be going back soon. I would've done it sooner but I had a few more days of high stress from which I had to recover.

Isn't it amazing though how sometimes everything points us in the right direction?

Glad to hear you are back on track. Florida is notorious for the mold in the a/c duct thing. I spray Lysol in mine every time I change the filter.
I go diving in West Palm a bit - you are so lucky to live there!

Thanks Atriana!

I'd been using a disinfectant spray but the A/C guy said the mold was deep inside the coil and blower and they had to take them out ti clean them. Now we're breathing better!

Florida offers quite a few challenges I didn't have to deal with when I lived in the NE (bugs, excess humidity, sun/rain damage on cars, etc.), but everything has its price and I simply love it here in the winters, a time when I was always depressed over there.
