Alrighty, Where to start?
Well I'm a teenage athlete, 15 Years old, Have been into heavy weight
lifting for a while and am looking to start this low-Carb diet to
finnalize the "cutting" stage. However, as I got the Low-Carb Bars and
formulated the Low-Carb diet..

I noticed that the "Calories from Fat" Levels are pretty high up
there. May I ask how this affects the midsection and gut. As One of
the the whole reason of this diet for cutting is to better define my
abs.

I'm very active, Weightlifting, Football.. General Teenage
Shennangins.. :)
So will they get burned up easily?

Also, As I do avidly Lift weights and run..etc, each day, I am worried about my energy levels. How can I keep them up?

Well, Any help you can give, please do.
Thanks a bunch,

Welcome to LC Eating TheShizMcNit...

The first concern you have--high fat contributing to problems at the midsection--is one that you should definitely *not* worry about. If you do the diet properly, you should not gain weight regardless of the amount of calories taken in as fat!

In fact, the only thing that would affect the midsection and gut would be a high carb diets that I know some athletes eat--like the "fruit-and-rice" diet.

The fact that you're active and likely don't have much weight to lose indicates that your metabolism is pretty high. With so much activity, you may not want to cut your carbs all the way to induction levels initially. It may jolt your body a little too much, severely drain you of energy, and give you headaches. I would suggest starting at about 30 or 35 grams of carbs per day and make sure to avoid drinking anything but water. Also, vitamins are KEY!

Other than that, after a week or so on the diet, if you've been strict and haven't cheated, you should have lost fat weight and stablized your blood sugar levels to a point where energy should be through the roof at all times! (Of course, don't forget to get plenty of rest, too!)

Hope that helps! Keep up the hard work and you'll see results.
