Hi everybody!
My hubby and I took my Mom out for Mother's Day and there wasn't much on the menu that I could eat. So I decided I would just treat myself for being so 'good' for the last 4 weeks. So I had potato skins and a few Calamari with Ranch sauce. Talk about heaven!:p I savored every last bite! But, now I'm feeling guilty. On one hand I think okay this is a treat for not cheating once in about 4 weeks. Then on the other hand I think 'why did I do that?' I shouldn't have eaten anything and waited till I got home. :( It shouldn't upset things too much should it? As long as I get back on track? I realized on the way home from the restaurant that there are going to be times when I can't eat completely low carb. So, I guess it's just one of those things that I'll have to deal with along the way. My Mom said not to feel guilty, to just think of it as a reward for doing so well so far.
Does anybody else slip up from time to time?
Oh no, my stomach is not feeling very good. I'm probably going to pay for it now:( My little taste of heaven is going to create some hell!!;)

From my experience, when I feel guilty over a cheat, it takes me much longer to come back and start with determination. Once I understood that everyone has moment of weakness at one time or another, I can just get over it and get back on the wagon. :)

Hi Rilee,
We have all slipped from time to time. Some, more times than others. ;)
Most restaurants have salads, and meats that can be cooked pretty simply. I usually will pick a main course I like and then ask for it on a salad. No vegetables, just salad. This is part of the strategy you learn when eating out. Everyone develops there own.
Just start LC immediately and don't convince yourself that it is OK to go wild with carbs because you slipped. Go back to LC right away. And don't bother feeling guilty. It's not worth it!
A really bad habit and part of why some of us are fat is because we have learned to use food as a reward. It can be tasty and fun, but it's not a reward, it's fuel for our bodies. Think about it, why are you (me or anyone else too) rewarding yourself with something that could cause you harm.

Hi Karen,
You're right! I never thought of it that way. It is bad for me...but it tastes so good!:p Thank you for saying that because it will help me to make better choices when I eat out. After we left the restaurant I was kicking myself in the butt because I could have had a chicken ceaser salad, which would have been lower in carbs than the potato skins. Oh well, I've paid for my mistake already (running to the potty)! So I won't be doing that again anytime soon! I won't slip off my low carbing I'm back on again as if nothing happened. I'll be bouncing on my rebounder even more tomorrow to get me back on track.

P.S. Your new picture is really nice, you look very pretty. :)

Ahhh, that was what I thought when I read your posting. Reward food? Bad, bad, thats probably what got us this way to begin with....LOL
Reward sounds so much better when I come home with a new top to wear, or pants. Ummm, what a reward when I can put it on and say, wow, you hot babe you...LOL
Yep, that resturant probably had meat and salads girl. Keep that in mind for the next time. Get right back on track, we all make mistakes, and thank God learn from them :)

Rilee, don't feel guilty. We all have those times we fall off the wagon.
Just remember if you do fall off to jump back on as quickly as possible!

Ya know....you guys and gals scare me. (in a good way though)
I have been loyal to the diet since I started April 27. My hubby and I are going to a baseball game this friday, and god how I love nachos and hot dogs. I was and had planned on having nachos and a hot dog while watching the game but hearing all of the tummy ache stories I think I will pass.
I guess I will just munch on sunflower seeds.
:( *wonders what a baseball game is like without nachos and hot dogs*

BELIEVE ME I LOVE NACHOS AND HOT DOGS TO BUT AS MUCH AS I LOVE THEM I'D PASS. I USUALLY HAVE A VERY STRONG STOMACH. I USE TO EAT MEXICAN LIKE 2 OR 3 TIMES A WEEK. BUT BELIEVE ME YOU DON'T WANT TO BE STUCK IN AFTER GAME TRAFFIC WITH A KILLER STOMACH ACHE. BE STRONG DON'T LET THE AROMAS GET TO YOU
