Check out the CKD101 thread at the top of the forum.
Sift through it and find the section on CARB LOAD.
Do it this weekend, and resume LC on Sunday.
By the way, what does your exercise program look like?

-Hmm, you'll have to give us more details as to why you may be stagnating. Also, are you using a 'fat-burner'?

I am not sure what fat burners are exactly...does metabolife count? If not any recomendations..
ok excercise
mon, wed, fri 30 minute walk in AM & PM elliptical 20 min. or stepper/bike (this is usually 30-45) If i can get to a pool i do laps
tuesday aerobics level 2/3
thursday whatever if anything i feel like...LOL
weekends are mine and to catch up on all errands (blah blah) i am not doing any weights yet i have not figured that out exactly..i am way shy and do not like to lift in front of those guys especially as they are neighbors
besides that i never seem to stop and i drink about a gallon of water.
ok well time to sleep, my bf is starting to hate my pc
thanks in advance

-Yes, that's a fat-burner. As well as Xenadrine, Ripped Fuel, etc.

-As far as 'cardio' is concerned, this looks alright.

-Go to a different gym.

ok well sometimes i tend to babble and not make sense...i drink tons of water and that is suppose to be important..right? and for the never stopping part i am on my feet all day, i work in a daycare, so i figure that this should help with the whole weight thing. not hinder it
hope this expalined the ?HUH? thing..LOL

Hello! I *hate* gyms. If you're too shy to lift in front of a bunch of guys, invest in some dumbells and work out at home.
-you can put a bar in the doorway for pullups/chins, and if you can't do them yet, put your feet on a stool to take some weight off.
-there is a ton of exercises you can do without a workout bench, but I love the one I have.
-if you're worried about not having a spotter for squats, one thing you can do is pre-exhaust your legs so that by the time you get to squats you need very little to no weight.
I love to work out at home, I can grunt, scream, shout, swear and wear whatever I want.. or don't want ;) I can blast medieval bagpipe music if that is what pumps me up.
If you want to change your shape, lift some weights!
Good luck on your plan.

Of course you can do that at a gym, with the exception of wearing what you want.
But if someone is self conscious about working out in front of other people, they are not going to get the quality workout they would if they were alone, or with a friend in private.
Personally I love to work out at home, and would not pay the outrageous gym prices that are in my area, unless I was the kind of person who made the gym my personal, social and recreational life and would then have no reason to be anywhere else except maybe bed.
As for cardio, no treadmill can beat real rocks and dirt under my feet or bike tires.
BUT I didn't want this to be a Is home or gym better, I was just pointing out that Hereigo can work out at home just as well as in a gym, because she mentioned feeling self conscious in front of people.

Not at the gym I work at. I'd be the one asking you to leave. LOL.
A few grunts at the end of a hard set are OK, but the loud swearing and yelling are not necessary. I've seen some big boys squat some major weight, and I've seen guys bench so much that the bar was bending ... all I heard from them were grunts and maybe the occasional strained growl.
but hey, if you can do 4 plates per side on any upper body lift, you can get away with that. LOL.
I've also seen young bucks doing 25 lb. db curls and yelling their heads off. The gym is no place for that.

I said you *can* do it at a gym. I didn't say it wouldn't be frowned upon. Also, I dislike those who scream, yell, etc... personally, I grit my teeth.

GOD, 4 plates for upper body!?!?! I would let them do whatever the freak they wanted if I owned the gym, probably let them rob it if they wanted to. DAmn, I've seen a few of those people at RIMAC (UCSD gym), we have some powerlifting champ who does like 8 plates on the deadlift, and other ridiculous weight on stuff too. He looks fat more than anything though, **BIG** dude. Interstingly enough he is a computer nerd, works for SDCC (San Diego Supercomputing Center)
As for the young buck screaming on the 25lbs., those guys are total loses --------> ME :( heheh, it's all good.

Defensive?!?! LOL. Just rippin' ya man. You know you're the one yelling at the top of your lungs while you do cardio. Singing all those crazy military cadences. I saw ya. It's OK. There's no shame in being who you are. But, I would leave the military pants and the Kill 'Em All shirt at home next time. LOL.
There actually WAS a guy like that at the last gym I worked at. Everyday I had to go tell him to shut up. Everyday for a month it was a confrontation. LOL. the final straw was when he was running laps on the indoor track in his boxer briefs ... white ones. Then he started sweating. It was ugly. LOL.
When I asked him what the hell he thought he was doing he said, "What? I'm wearing shorts. If you got it, flaunt it." He got his membership revoked shortly thereafter since it turned into a name calling event and he threatened me.
Then, as if he wasn't causing enough trouble, as he was changing to leave, he made some bad racial comments to some BIG boys in the locker room.
They came to me and said "Dan, tell that dude to shut it before the bruthas wait for him outside."
After I filed the reports to get him revoked for violating the dress code, threatening a staff member, AND using inapproprate language all in the same day I told "the bruthas" that if some incident happened the next night in the side parking lot where Mr. Military usually parked, I could make sure that there was a staff meeting for ALL staff members around that time... including parking lot security. LOL.
Mr. Military never came back.
