Thanks Ann. I was thinking it's time to go and check out H&B again. Now I've got a definite reason.
Take care,

Flax seed comes in capsule form or ground (add to stews etc.)
Aliviates constipation and it really works....

Thanks Chris
I don't have that problem but I thought it may increase the good fat intake and help stimulate ketosis ??????

Flaxseed oil, or as more commonly known as linseed oil in the UK is another potential supplement, along the lines of cod liver oil. Whilst I have not tried it myself there are a lot of people on this forum who use it as a supplement. It is a source of essential fatty acids.
Others eat flax meal, the ground up seeds and this is used as a source of fibre to prevent constipation.
You can find out more in the Nutrition and supplements forum (http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?forumid=131&s=) .

Flax seed oil is a good addition to your diet if you are short on calories. If you add it to a home made protein shake it blends right in ( you need to add it in slowly when everything else is in the blender and you are at full speed) and doesn't taste nasty.
I do hear of some people who "sip" the stuff, which I have tried and is a nasty nasty thing. But it does help with constipation and should benefit the skin and joints no end :)
