Hey everyone. I was wondering if any of you could answer some questions for me about CKD? I have read through the CKD101 thread, and been following along with everyone for the past week or two. As of right now I'm kind of following the BFL plan, but not really. I havent been able to workout much because I had hurt my back and doctor told me to take a break. But I am now better, so I'm planning on starting soon. Ive been eating the BFL way for about 4 1/2 weeks now, and amazingly lost 30lbs. Thats kind of scary. One of the huge problems being that I dont eat but maybe 1000 calories a day if that! I know I need to eat A LOT more than that, but theres just nothing convenient for me. I am 20 years old, 6'3" and 30%BF, 270lbs as of right now, down from 302.
I should be eating at least 2000 a day, ugh! I am on a limited budget though, I am a student, paying for my own college, or trying to, lol.
But anyway, do you think I should switch to the CKD plan instead? I have been on low carb before and lost weight pretty well. Can anyone bounce some ideas if you were in my position what you would do? I know I can eat enough calories doing low-carb, and dont think I will have to much trouble with carb-up, I have a ton of willpower, haha. Anyway, get back to me!

-Actually you should be eating 3240 calories a day (your bodyweight- 270 x 12- is where you want to be). Otherwise you'll slow your metabolic-rate too much and end up at a 'plateau' real quick.

-Buy 'Bodyopus' (by Dan Duchaine) or 'The Ketogenic Diet' (by Lyle McDonald) and decide for yourself if it's 'right' for you.
