for the bodybuilders in this forum , is there a recomended workout to hit ketosis after the car up days??
is cardio better than a day of super high reps weight training?

60 minutes of light cardio first thing in the morning (the morning following the 'carb-up') will speed decent into ketosis.

The day after the carb up, do AM cadio on an empty stomach ...

Then, in the PM (or when your schedule allows), do a weight training session that hits one or two of your major muscle groups. Pick the one that needs the most work, and use as many compound moves as possible.

I like to do a Power Pyramid set-rep scheme on that day ...

So, for example, if Chest/Quads was your workout:

Dumbbell Chest Press 3 sets (not including warm-ups) at 8 reps, 6 reps, and then 4 reps. Increase the weight each set.

Use compunds moves (presses, dips, etc) versus flyes.

So for legs, you would squat, leg press, hack squat, etc. instead of leg extensions, etc.

Using compound moves uses more glycogen, thus wil lhelp you decend into ketosis faster.
