I was thinking ( I know, dangerous!) if I low carb all day say on a Friday and then after the depletion workout, switch to the carb up, will there be a fat spill over from the morning and afternoon foods of low carb? After all, the meals are high in fat - Or....does it suit us best to not eat 3 hours or so before the depletion to ensure that the fat inside the stomach does not mix in with the carbs when venturing into the carb up phase? Make sense?

Don't know "what the book says" about it, but from my personal experience, what you are saying is EXACTLY what I do and Iget good results from it. Have been for the past 3 years, getting bigger and leaner all the time.
I lowcarb Monday morning until Friday evening. The divider is my workout which is typically at 5 or 6 pm. Immedately following, all hell breaks loose and the carbs are off the hook! Protein too, of course. Gotta take full advantage of that anabolic window.
As for pre-workout eating, you shouldn't be eating within 2 hours of your workout anyway. If it is withing that timeframe, ( 1 - 2 hours) a shake could get you there, but I would make it all protein and no fat so that absorption of the fat does not interfere with your workout.
Digestion requires alot form your body, and has funny ways of messing up your workouts.
