Hi there!

I'm just curious - is anyone a type I diabetic and insulin resisitant (particularly on an oral medication in addition to insulin)? I've been type I for 13 years, started out on injections, then switched to a pump, and am now in the process of switching back to injections (they just work better for me, somehow), and I'm bothered by the fact that I take more insulin per day than other diabetics I know who are significantly heavier than I and eat significantly more. I'm concerned about insulin resistance and afraid that may be what has hindered my weight loss efforts for so many years.

Anyway, I'm just curious to hear others' experiences. Eating low carb has helped, but I'm still taking 70+ units of insulin a day. I'm afraid I'm destroying my body!

Thanks,
