View Full Version : ANY dairy-free low-carb nutrition bars out there?

I would like to make a large bulk order but am looking for
low-carb nutrition bars suitable for the 1 in 5 people in the
world who have a milk protein or lactose allergy. However, all
the bars I can find contain milk products! Please advise if
you know if there are currently any shops tapping that market,
or are they rather losing 20% of potential customers?
Also, do you know of any nutrition bars as above, suitable
for anti-Candida diets, as a large number of people also have
Candida (just try a search of the web for Candida). They are
similar to the low-carb diets, but have a slightly stricter
list of disallowed foods. I assume you are aware of what
these are.
Please only reply if you can answer the questions, I'm not
particularly interested in arguing about the
format/content/etc. of my post. :)

There aren't any low-carb bars suitable for a Candida diet
because they use sugar alcohols which are contraindicated on a
Candida diet. Eat real food!
Easier! Said! Than! Done! Craig!
I work in the film business, and on set there are no snacks
suitable, so I need to bring my own snacks. Obviously I cannot
bring a lettuce with me, so I am looking for a low-carb,
sugar-alcohol-free, snack/nutrition bar.
I am still hopeful that there must be SOMETHING out there!

Once upon a time, our fellow <me@mine.com> rambled on about
"Re: ANY dairy-free low-carb nutrition bars out there?." Our
champion De-Medicalizing in sci.med.nutrition retorts,
thusly ...

A cookie by any other name is still a cookie.
Junk Food by any other name is still Junk Food.
