I am wondering if you felt like you had a problem with yeast, but were not sure, will it hurt to take adidophulus? I am having heartburn, and occasional headache, I have cut back on my cheese and such, but really would like input on the acidophulus....... Thanks Melameter

I poked around on the web and found this information (http://www.nutravite.com/nutravite-english/reference-guide/acidopholus.htm) ... I hope it's useful for you. Doesn't look like there would be any problem at all; you just can't take it at the same time you're taking antibiotics.

I appreciate your finding that info for me, I dont have alot of time to surf the net. I have two sons and a husband who ALWAYS seem to need me for something.... ( I really dont mind) But I do thank you, I am going to keep taking the acidophulus, I have always gotten a yeast infection anytime I had to take antibiotics, so I guess I am prone to it.
How is your diet going? You have been a great help to me, as I said I live in a house way out in the country, with only males.... They dont much know what to tell me about my strange diet (as they call it) My husband says that looks like the kind of diet he needs to be on, if they would throw a potato and a little gravy into the deal.
Men............ Well, till later Melameter.

I was put on it while taking antibiotics. My doctor said that would help to not get a yeast infection. One other good side since on it.....I had my gall bladder out in Feb, and had to take Prilosec for acid problems possibly caused by the GB removal.....and while taking the acidophulus (two tablets a day), I was able to go off of the $40 a month Prilosec! I just had a f/u appt Friday, and my doc ok'd me to continue to take it.

This is probably a silly question, but does anyone know if there are carbs in the acidopholus tablets? Just want to make sure if I take them that I'm counting everything I need to count!
thanks very much for any help anyone can give me on this.
