i have a muscular frame....the 'charts' say i have a Large frame...so i know i will never 'look' skinny. i used to be VERY athletic, playing softball, cheerleading, etc. in highschool and then in college (5 years ago) walked everywhere so i basically stayed very fit. my quandry....i now weigh 20 lbs more than i did in college i would be happy at 145 b/c even at 5'3" i fit into a size 8.

i want to begin strength training but i don't have alot of money to buy weights, plus i will be traveling all the months of july and august with a group across the country singing. i am the director, so iwll not be gettin as much 'movement' as the kids, due to the fact that i will be sitting throught the concerst. i have seen the 'bands' used for strength training, has anyone used these? i am a very visual learner, so i need a video or something to begin with then when i learn the routine, i can take the bands with me and do the sets in my hotel room.

please help...i don't want to exericse all of the month of june and then in july and aug. lose all of the benefits.

any ideas, suggestions would be great. any ideas for a fitness regime on the road would be much appreciated too.
