Its day 28 Well My weight has gone up tp 170.5 from 167. after induction I was still at 167-no movement.
Followed Induction to a Tee, after I started eating more cheese 4-6 oz p/day and macadamia nuts 4-0z a day and berry fruit 4 oz a day...In total my calorie count is 2400cals p/day on average and in the past 5 days I am vigurously exercising..
My supplements are:

Pantethine softgellsx 450mgs-day
Borrage " x 1300mg
Flaxseed softgells x 1000mg
Omega3 " x 1000mg
Super lecithin " x 1000mg

Can anyone suggest if I should try the KISS formula ??
Ketosis stick shows .05 Trace only

Richard, me again :) I think your slow loss has to do with how close you are to your goal. Not a bad thing, right? Those last few lbs can seem to take forever. The gain I'd think might be a combination of a few things - water retention and muscle. If I remember correctly you ARE lifting weights are you not? This will cause some temporary water weight/gain; torn muscles are just that, torn and inflamed while they grow. Muscle gain speaks for itself.

Have you taken any measurements? Weight gain with no measurement change is most definitely a sign of muscle increase.

While 10x your current weight is the number you see recommended a lot on this forum, that is not the maximum you should or can eat. That is just to cover your basal metabolism and keep you out of 'starvation mode' I honestly do not think 2400 calories is excessive, especially if you are working out strenuously.

My advice is to stay the course - if you should feel dizzy and weak as you indicated in your journal look to increasing carbs; with the amount of exercise you're doing you need them. Be consistent with calories, keep the water up and don't let those ketostix get to you. Trace is the same as small or medium; they are all indicative of fat burning. Darker means dehydrated; it's not something you want.

Cheers,
Nat

Trying KISS/paleo eating is never a bad idea--at least as an experiment, it's interesting and informative. If you feel better, have fewer aches, pains, digestive disturbances, sleep disturbances as a result, or quickly drop weight (bloat, usually), you can be fairly certain something in the non-paleo food is causing you problems. Then the real experimentation begins, slowly adding back foods one at a time and figuring out what your culprit is when the symptoms return.

Sometimes there is (according to Dr. Schwarzbein, who I'm reading now) a brief weight gain as your body puts on LBM and recovers from old, low-fat abuses. It's temporary, part of the healing process. though Dr. S also advises against vigorously exercising--she thinks that does more damage than good.

Or it could be that you're eating more sodium and retaining a bit of water. Eat unsalted nuts and cheese, if you continue to eat cheese.
