New to Schwarzbein but was on Sommerzing for about four
months and have noticed differences in these programs. Has
anyone else wondered why SP okays eating carbs with other
foods such as fats and Sommersizing advises against it?
I thought that much of the Sommersizing plan was based on
the info she received from Schwarzbein. Looking to improve
the way my family eats( 3 children) any ideas for snacks for
kids?
Thanks

I think Sommers program comes from Montignac (?) not Schwarzbein.

Excessive carbs (especially sugars, like fruit) along with fats can raise cholesterol/triglycerides, which would be one reason to suggest separating the eating of them.

But eating carbs alone raises insulin more than if you eat them with protein and fat, which is why most LC plans say to never have the carb alone.

HTH!
