I just read an article which stated .. at least here in Canada
.. the 'name/title' .. nutritionist .. is NOT legal.. and
thusly can be used by anyone?

I think by inference he means not nutritionist, but
"naturopath."

I figured it was something like that. How can one equate a
nutritionist to a dentist or a surgeon? Talk about apples to
oranges.....

Here's an article which discusses four types of certification:
RD, CNS, CCN, and CN. All require post graduate courses.
