I first came to this board in January when I began my low carb WOE. I did an internet search for "low carb/success" and was taken directly here-to this area of this wonderful site. I hungrily consumed [ ;) pun intended] the information on this site, all the recipes, the postings, members' bios and of course, peoples' success stories. It really helped me to know others out there were succeeding and getting rid of their excess weight. Here's a little success story of my own from last night; I hope it inspires someone out there the way I was inspired by others here from the start:
Last night, I went to a party and I saw people who I had not seen in a few months. Some of what I heard from these folks:
You look so great!
What happened-you shrunk!?
How did you lose so much weight?
Did you have your eyes done?
Your skin looks amazing!!
Who did your hair and makeup?"
It felt so good to be wearing size 6 BLACK JEANS, a belt, and my shirt tucked in! And no, I have not had any cosmetic surgery---but amazingly, this WOE had absolutely improved my overall appearance. Feeling better on the inside has helped me to look better on the outside. And eating healthier foods has improved the texture of my hair, nails and skin. Thanks to all of you here for your daily inpiration and wise words.
