I decided to try this stuff, on a whim. I compared brands for grams of carbs and the lowest was Natura, original flavoured, at 9.6 g per cup. It also has 4 g fat and 6.3 g protein.

That may be a little high for some people, but it makes a pretty nice base for a smoothy or shake. I have this strawberry flavoured protein drink mix and it tastes like Frankenberry cereal!

hi Kristine,

This is an old post :daze: .. but thought you might be interested to know that the natur-a brand has recently added an unsweetened soy milk to the product line. 4g carbs - 3g fiber = 1g ECC, 8.0g protein, 3.9g fat per 250 ml serving (1 cup). It has added calcium, vits A, B2, B12 and D.

I found it at Loblaws Superstore, in the health food section.

It actually tastes quite good as is ... just needs to be really cold

Westsoy makes an unsweetened soymilk too, it comes in regular and chocolate. I'm not sure how it tastes since I make my own. Judy

Thanks, Doreen, I'll have to give it a whirl!

Judy, I had looked for Westsoy, but it's not available in Canada. :(

Hi Kristine, What a bummer, I'm sorry that Westsoy isn't available in your area. Maybe you will have to just compare the labels on unsweetened soy milk. Make sure to subtract fiber from the grams of carbo's. Hubby and I visited Whistler last summer and enjoyed it very much. Was able to rent an apartment at a lodge, so I did most of the cooking. (Some Vacation HUH), I could have stayed at home to cook, but hubby is on a special diet so we don't eat out very often. We did alot of hiking and boating and bike riding, generally took in the sites. Have a great weekend, Judy
