Last ngiht was an eye opener for me. I have this stunning sleevess blouse, that looks fantastic on me, even at this size. Anyway, it was hot yesterday and I wanted to wear it. BUT, I have these HUGE arms...and am very self concious (my 340 pound brother who has no room to talk made a comment a few eyars ago about how if I am going out with a man I should hide my arms becuase they are grotesque). I was very very self concious after that.

So, yesterday, I figured "to heck with it", and I wore it!!! Nobody looked at me like I was the fat lady freak show, and my husband thought I looked great. I felt very empowered. But it goes to show how the power of thinking can really affect a person. I can't believe I was hot and uncomfortable all these years just becuase of one comment!!! Aaargh...my brother is going to get it!

Good for you! I'm glad you wore something that made you feel good. We could all use a little bit of that.

Yes it is amazing isn't it how one comment can set us back? And so often when people tell about these things, the comment came from a loved one. Maybe we tend to give too much weight to the importance of what our family says about us, like they're a better judge of how attractive we are or something. Actually I think family and friends are worse at how they see us because they can't be as objective.

Life; it's all a head game!

I can't wait to get to that place INSIDE where I'm comfortable wearing sleeveless shirts.
